"On behalf of Expert Village, my name is Paul Anderson from the ABC Circus here in Hollywood, Florida and we are going to do how to be a clown. So if you became a clown you would join a long line of people, very funny people. It goes way back to the tribal days, stone age land. The first man who smashed his thumb while trying to smash something with a rock. While sure running around late night camp fire stories. Of course back in the stone age there were really body and half naked or perhaps even naked, so you can imagine what kind of funny things they did. Well the Romans, well that was a long time ago and the Greeks before them had giant theaters and comedians. Comedy and tragedy of course where we get the happy and the sad face and of course there were clowns back then, but our modern clowns go back to Italian comedy about fifteen hundred. Arlecchino or now known as Harlequin was a very famous clown. Nowadays clowns are known as joeys, named after the famous English clown Joseph GrI'maldi."
