"Hi this is Cheryl with Expert Village. And I’m going to show you how to set a table. Now there’s sometimes a little bit of confusion on where the different forks go, so right here I’ve got my dinner fork and I have my salad fork and just when you’re thinking of a table setting, thinking of outside in. So generally the first course you’re going to eat is a salad, so the salad fork goes on the outside. So once you’ve had your salad, you can go ahead and remove that and then you’re ready for your entrée. And when you set the table, you want to have your plates set approximately one inch from the edge of your table. And the same thing with your forks and then the knife and spoon. And with your knife, you want to make sure that the blade side faces the plate and again line those up about one inch from the bottom of your table. Now you can put your water glass about one inch from the knife and then we have our red wine and our white wine setup so it looks really great. "
