"Hi, this is a fun thing today we're going to talk about different things you can add to your face painting designs to just really make them special and different. Glitter and other embellishments. Glitter does come in many forms. This is a loose glitter, comes in several different colors. I've got a Green, a Lavender, a red, a good one to have is just a nice iridescent glitter it goes with any design. Unfortunately it's so popular I'm out of it. Glitter also comes in little jars like this in a liquid that can be brushed on. It also comes in a gel form which you can mix yourself or buy it premixed. These are great for adding great details to things like a butterfly. You can also get something called shimmer powers which is similar to a ladies eye shadow. It's very, very fine like a very fine powder, so you want to be very careful when using this. All of these things tend to seem like they cost a lot but I'll let you know a little really, really goes a long way. Like buying paints specifically made for faces, when you're buying glitter you also want to make sure you're buying cosmetic glitter. Just like craft paint, craft glitter may have dyes and other ingredients that are really, really unsafe if it gets in a child's eye. The cosmetic glitter is made of polyester and it's cut in a manner where it does not have any sharp edges. So if it does get in a child's eye it'll wash right out with their tears. It may seem like it'll cost more than the craft glitter but again a little goes a long way and really that extra money is well worth spending. A couple other embellishments you can buy are jewels. These are pre sticky back, so all you have to do is peel it off your sheet and stick it right on the child's skin. However if you buy something that does not have a pre sticky back, you can an adhesive at the cosmetic store which is safe for use on skin. It's specially made for prosthetics and we use an acrylic based adhesive versus a latex based adhesive because most people are not allergic to acrylics although a lot of people in our society do have latex allergies, so you want to look for an acrylic based adhesive. Another fun add on, let's say your doing a cute little ladybug on a cheek. Why not stick on some googly eyes to the ladybug? Make a really fun design! Those are some fun things you can add to your designs: glitters, shimmer powders, jewels and google eyes. Have fun!"
