"All right, the next thing that you don't want to do in a New Year's Eve toast is offend anyone. And this is tricky, because remember, we've already talked about the inebriation level on New Year's Eve, and maybe you've had a little to drink, maybe they've had a little to drink. Maybe everybody has had a lot to drink. And we all know that under the influence of alcohol it's real easy to say whatever you want to say. So you have to be real careful about not offending anyone, and I brought this up a little bit in the last clip. This is where I'm talking about don't specifically talk about people's crummy year. Hey John, maybe you'll get over your divorce this year, or maybe since your wife dumped you, you can find somebody new. Two thousand seven was a terrible year for Sally, she whatever. Don't offend individually, and don't say something; we've talked about you're going to be talking to the whole group; the toast is for the whole group. Don't say something offensive even when talking to the whole group."
