"Hi! I'm Kelley Johnson with K. Nicole Redesign for Expert Village. When we redesign your home to stage it, we also focus on how your existing furniture is positioned in the room. Function is important as well as balance. So in this particular room, we have a fireplace that is the focal point of the room and we also have a nice entertainment niche that people can use to display their TV, DVD, VCR player. We redesign this room by repositioning the furniture to really focus on the focal point of the room. Luckily the focal point is all on one main wall, so we've angled the sofa and the chair so that it is conversational and also focusing on the fireplace and entertainment niche area. So working with a certified stager, we really look at the furniture that you have in the house and we work on not only the color schemes but also the way your furniture is placed in the room. One thing that you want to avoid is when someone walks into your room you don't want them necessarily seeing the back of a sofa. "
