" Hi my name is Frank Clarke with Oliver and Associates Realty in London Ontario on behalf of expertvillage.com. Today I would like to speak with you about de-cluttering your mantel and decorating your mantel place and your hearth so that the focal point in that room which is always is the fireplace if you have one shows itself the best. In this example you would see where they are to many things on the mantel. A lot of people like to have personal items on the mantel and thats find but when it come to family photos as I did mention earlier I do suggest that they be put away. I'm going to declutter this mantel just quickly and give you a example of how the entire mantel could change. I'm going to take magazines, books, etc., things like that away from the mantel. I'm going to remove so of the smaller items and maybe put this cute little giraffes down the side the fireplace. The big vases I think I'm going to use them somewhere else in the room. What we want to do is we want to maximize the clean, clear space here. The fireplace does look relatively good like this but on a personal level I think I would like to lay this maybe down on the side. This could be effective also with a long mirror. You can lay a mirror here or mount a mirror on the wall. Now what I'm going to do is take some of these really inexpensive candles that are going to create just some symmetry across the center to tie the whole thing together. Nice clean lines just like this. This I think presents the room better than all the heavy bulky clutter that we had."
