"Well in this clip I'm going to talk about why it's important that as you choose a real estate professional, you choose someone whose sales process and methodology matches yours as a buyer. You should never pick an agent solely on the quality of their car, however the comfort level might be a factor. It's very important to understand the agent that you're working with, and for the agent that you're working with to understand you. It's very common for problems to develop in a relationship between a real estate agent and a client, when either the buyer is moving faster than the agent, or potentially the agent is moving faster than the buyer. It's very important up front to sit down with the agent, and to explain to them exactly how you expect the process to go; both in time, in terms of how long it's going to get to point A to point B, during the transaction, and also for the agent to understand from you what type of commitments they are going to bring to the table, and what you expect from them. When that process fits like a glove, everything goes off beautifully, and the buyer and the agent have a great experience, or if it?s a seller and the agent have a great experience. There's clear communication, and the process goes quite smoothly. But when it doesn't go smoothly, it can definitely present problems. So it's very up front to introduce your expectations into the equation, and for the agent to specify their expectations, and to move forward together."
