"Hi! This is Paul Louis Muller your neighborhood Realtor, you can find me on the web at http://callpaul.yourkwagent.com, there’s no www in that address folks, on behalf of expertvillage.com I’d like to welcome you. I want to talk a little bit about communication when you pick a Realtor. Communication is vital when you have a relationship with somebody. You want to be able to understand them and you want your Realtor to be able to speak to you in terms that you can understand, you don’t want them to use Real Estate jargon, you want them to speak to you so that you can understand everything that’s going on. It’s too important for you to not understand certain things and communication is essential. A good Realtor is not always going to pretend to have all the answers for you; if he doesn’t know something at that moment that you ask him something, it’s his duty to be honest with you and say look I don’t have the answer for you right now. However, I’ll get you an answer within 24 hours. And then he has to go back and find that answer because he owes that to his client. He also has to be the person who knows what’s going on in the whole transaction, he has to be the person the Realtor I’m speaking about, he has to be the person who has to communicate with the other parties involved in the transaction, for instance the title company, the buyers agent, the appraiser, if there’s an appraiser involved, as to the inspector, all of the parties involved with the transaction. He has to know when you’re going to close, what day, what time all of these things are essential, and a good Realtor is also going to provide you with a weekly activity report. It may be in the form of email, it may be a phone call, but he owes that to you to call you and let you know what’s going on with your property, how many people came to see it, how many calls you got. Even if no activity happened, he owes you that he or she owes you that. That’s what you should expect in a Realtor as far as communication."
