"Hello! This is Jacqueline on behalf of expertvillage.com. In this clip I will be telling you some tips for working in a home office with your infant. Be flexible and take breaks as needed. If possible, have at least 2 workstations; maybe upstairs and downstairs or something that is just different. Infants love to see a change in their environment, so staying in room for too long will be a problem for the little person. If you have a radio or CD with good baby music, classical is good and soothing depending on your baby, he or she will be happy in a playpen or a gated baby proof room with some toys listening to music while you get a little bit of typing done for instance. You don't want to rely on these contraptions to babysit your child. However if they enjoy swinging, there is nothing wrong letting them swing for 5 minutes while you finish up some work or get the dishes done. As long as they are safe and happy, that comes first and hopefully they will allow you to get a little bit of work done. Depending on your energy level, being a new mom is draining; either work or sleep while they nap whichever is the most demanding. "
