Discuss rewards for helping out. Perhaps a fishing trip will be in order if they don't argue with each other long enough for you to get your phone call made. There can be a thin line between reward and bribery. But be careful that they don't end up extorting gifts from you and manipulating the situation. Do explain the situation and let them know this is where the money is coming from. That they want to pay for their food, clothes, toys and fun things that you all do together as a family."
