"Hi! This is Jim Goettler with Expert Village and this is a video on how to form and operate a non-profit organization. I want to touch briefly on a need for a 3 to 5 year plan as a document that you as an organization will need to have for your C3 Application and also something to show your potential funders in the community where you want to go in 3 years, where you want to be in 5 years and where you want to be in 8 years. Your long term stability is going to require you to tell people you don't know and have not gone to your meetings what your organization is all about. You've got to be able to say clearly that you are going to be at x point in 5 years, x point in 8 years, where your program is going to be, where you hope your money is going to be, where the money is going to be coming from as well as where the money hope to go. So it involves everything from programming to your fund raising to your publicity. All gets wrapped into these 5 years plans. So the world of large, who you are serving as a non-profit will know exactly what you are doing. In the next segment, I am going to touch on the mission statement which is 501 needs to develop for the community. Stay with me. "
