"Hi! This is Jim Goettler with Expert Village and this is a video about how to form and operate a non-profit or non-profit organization. I would like to touch briefly on the need your organization is going to have to have to open a bank account and to of establish a record of handling finances. Again, this is all well in advance of filing for your actual non-profit papers. At this point all you have are your articles of your corporation through State, you have a set of bylaws in someone's desk drawer and you have the documentation that you are slowly building prior to your application. In order to open a bank account, you are going to need your corporation's documents, you may need your business license and may need some small amount of money. But the point here is to establish a track record for your organization that says you know how to handle money. In the next segment, I want to touch on probably the most exciting part of non-profit organizing is going for the grants, going for the fun to make your operation sustainable."
