"Alright, something else you want to do, if you are having a communication barrier -and it should be pretty obvious if you don't understand what the person is trying to say or if they don't understand what you are trying to say. What you want to do instead of standing there and floundering and fumbling around is you want to rephrase the question or rephrase the statement. I have said a certain thing to you, I have asked you a certain question, and very clearly from your facial expression I see that you do not have a clue what I'm talking about. Well, I simply want to say it in a different way. Sometimes maybe you have to say it in a different way a couple of times. Let me tell you, if that doesn't work, push comes to shove, worst case scenario, you can always invite the other speaker to write it down, or maybe draw a picture or do something on a piece of paper if you just can't quite seem to understand the meaning of what you're trying to get across. What is the message we're trying to get across here?"
