"Now the next thing that you don't want to do when you're trying to communicate with people from another culture, whether they have a language barrier or not, is don't start talking really loud, and don't start breaking up your words. These people are not deaf, they simply have a different language or a different cultural background. So by yelling at them or by speaking like that, that's no good, that's not what you want to do. You have to remember that, like we talked about in the last clip, these people are not stupid, and many, many people...well, if English is not their native language, you have to realize that this is their second language. Can you only imagine how difficult it must be to learn the English language with all the different rules, and all the different terms, and all the definitions for the same word meaning something different. So, basically be a little empathetic. Don't talk down to them. Don't yell at them. Don't break things up. But show a little empathy for the things that they've accomplished. Try to help people, because that's all it is, remember, is simply a cultural difference, or possibly a language barrier."
