Retirement Speeches: Well Wishing

"Okay, so far we've got the whole speech put together, it's sounding great, it's looking great, and the last thing that you want to do in your retirement speech is tell everyone your best wishes for them in return. They have had this wonderful celebration for you, they've all wished you the best of luck in all your endeavors, and you should take a moment to wish them the best of luck. And you can be specific about it, or you can give it more of a general statement, but you might want to make a comment about the accounting department, or make a comment about the secretarial staff or whatever it is. But give them your best wishes for their future and the last thing you want to do is promise not to forget them. You have spent a huge amount of your life with many of these people. They have probably had a profound impact on you, as you have had on them. So let them know that you won't ever forget them, and the best wishes and the good thoughts are with them always. And there's your successful retirement speech."
