"O.k. the last thing we want to do here in our problem solution process is monitor the solution that we've implemented. And what I mean by monitor is keep track of how our decision, our solution is working. Let's say for instance I'll jump back to the smokers. We've stopped smoking in the building, we have allowed the smokers to take three smoke breaks a day; someone in the group will be responsible for documenting how it's all working. What was the original problem; the original problem was the building smelled, it was a fire hazard; the smokers weren't as productive as the non smokers. Jump back to that problem list; as you're monitoring your solution what you're checking to see is are all those problems gone, did we solve all of those problems by implementing our solution? It's really important to monitor it because if it's not working then you might want to reconvene with the same problem and re-brain storm and come up with a new solution to implement. So monitoring it is very important."
