"Alright we've got to take a look at the process of solving problems. Now we're assuming that this group has been assigned a task that is problem solution related. Most groups are, even if this has been an assignment for a public speaking class; your group project is usually about persuasion which involves problem solution. So we're going to take a look at the process. In problem solution which is what, like I said we're probably dealing with here; the first thing the group has to do is define the problem. What is our problem? Our problem is there's not enough of a break between classes to get across campus. Our problem is we need to change a law; we need to change the speed limit on a certain street. Our problem is we don't like the cafeteria food. Our problem is our corporate building allows smoking inside; whatever the problem is, that is the first thing that you as a group must define."
