At first glance, prison doesn't seem like such a horrible place; food, cozy lodging, a fresh and plentiful supply of narcotics, tons of time, and all for free! But after a closer look, the attentive eye will see that prison is not the exotic resort it seems to be. In fact, prison can be a very hard habitat to live in: between the guards, gangs, and low wages, many prisoners find themselves wanting more. Sadly, penitentiaries are quite strict, and rarely allow their tenants to break the terms of their "leases". As such, survival in a prison is a skill that requires the know-how of an expert, skills that Nichole Zanders will pass on to you in this informative series from expertvillage!

In this clip I will be discussing probably the most important factor, the most necessary element to surviving the prison experience which is understanding the system. When you enter the prison system it is kind of necessary to pay attention to those around you particularly the one's that have been there for a while. You may be able to learn something persay from your elders, you can learn how to survive by watching those that have been there for a while. It's also necessarily to learn the rules and regulations of the institution. While some of the things that I share with you throughout the course of this video, maybe violations of the rules and regulations of the institution, it is just how it goes when you are in the prison system. Learning the rules and regulations of the system it's the only way that you can effectively follow them or violate them."
