"Welcome to Regal Reptiles, we're going to talk about safely handling your tegu. This is about a 2 year old tegu and it's very important that you support the four legs she feels much more comfortable and you do have to be careful she has sharp nails you have to make sure she doesn't scratch you with those nails. But if you support her incorrectly she's going to wiggle around and she's not going to be happy. So it's important that you support her legs and you should stay behind where her head can't reach you. I know this is a very friendly animal and I know she's not going to bite me but you should be careful unless you are not comfortable with the particular specimen. We also have a larger black and white specimen we can support her legs and put her back. We're going to take out our big animal now you want to keep your hands where he can't reach you cause he does have a very powerful jaw. You have to support her four legs same as with the babies you don't want to drop them and sometimes they feel uncomfortable they will try to spin around to escape. You don't want them spinning around to try to escape and we don't want them spinning around to try and escape. Now also when ever we handle animals it's not just the animals safety we have to worry about but we should also clean our hands especially small children. So you are going to take some hand cleaner and you are going to clean your hands after you touch any animals and before you eat any kind of food."
