"Welcome to Regal Reptiles again we're going to talk about caging our Russian tortoise. Russian tortoises are fairly easy to care for we are going to keep ours in a cement mixing bend which is a lot of ground space for the tortoise it's nice and big you can get these at Home Depot or Lowe's any hardware store. What we're going to do is we're going to put cypress bedding for sub straight, cypress bedding is very absorbent and it doesn't have any of it's own smell and it doesn't have any oils. So if a tortoise goes to the bathroom you can scoop out the spot so this is a great bedding and a perfect bedding for many reptiles. Its' a little bit tough to find but if you find it really hard ,you can find it you can get it at Regal Reptiles sometimes you can get it at the hardware store or the Home and Garden center. But it has to be cypress it's very important it's not cedar. Cedar is very dangerous so we're going to put cypress down on the bottom of the cage. And the Russian tortoises will walk around in that it will be nice and soft for them and dig around in it. If you have a dog or a cat, you better be careful maybe you should get a top with a screen cover."
