"Alright, Sumatra water monitors are one of the largest types of monitor lizards you can get. They get over six feet long. They can get over fifty pounds. And their temperament can be very, very aggressive. This is a friendly baby monitor. She's very nice, and if you work with her and you hold her and you grow her up, she'll stay nice. Now, we're going to show you guys a little bit larger specimen. And this larger specimen is one of our exhibiting animals, but we don't really handle him. He doesn't do shows, he doesn't do programs, he just lives in the exhibits here at Regal Reptiles. And he is very aggressive. It's important to use a glove, because you don't want her to bite you. You can grab on to the base of her tail, and move up to the front of her legs. And then you can move up to behind the second set of legs. And if she has the chance, she will turn around and bite us, and she does have razor sharp teeth, and inside of her mouth she does have some bacteria. So, you really don't want her to get those teeth on you. You're going to hold her firmly, and you want to hold her legs so she can't scratch you. You can see she got a little scratch into a me a little bit earlier. And she's giving us a good little tussle."
