"Hi, on behalf of Expert Village.com I am Shelly here at AA Callister in Salt Lake City, Utah. Today we are here to discussing how to choose a winter horse blanket. One of the components of a winter horse blanket is the lining. That is what is right next to your horses skin. And I grabbed this canvas duck blanket to show you that this one has a wool blend lining. It's a little rougher to the feel and the touch. This is a winter or a wool blend. Some blankets have a fleece lining just like a fleece vest. Its gonna feel the same. so this is a fleece lining. Now this blanket here has a nylon lining and its soft just like the lining I guess of a vest or a sport coat or jacket. A lot of people prefer the nylon lining because its smooth against your horses skin. It won't leave any fuzzy marks. Also, if you are trying to get that show shine or show quality to your horse it actually almost acts like a polish. As they move around it kind of polishes them just as you would when you are brushing them. So some people prefer the nylon lining just because it does act as a brush or a polish to the horse while they wear the nylon lined blanket."
