"On behalf of expertvillage.com, I am Shelly at AA Callister in Salt Lake City and I would like to show you how to compare the different kinds of stable blankets that are available on the market. Now a stable blanket is going to be for a horse that is in a stable. It is not waterproof or water resistant. Now what you are going to use to determine this is the denier and we will go into that in a moment, the installation factor which is in the middle of the blanket which is what keeps your horse warm and the lining of the blanket and that is what is next to your horse's skin. We will go over that a little bit later. So when you are purchasing a stable blanket, you are going to want to take those three things, the lining, the insulation and the outer covering into consideration because that is going to tell you whether you are getting the most blanket for your buck when you are purchasing a winter horse blanket. Obviously the better the outer covering or the more insulation or the nicer the lining is going to cost you a little bit more. Does your horse really need it when choosing a winter stable blanket?"
