"Now one thing that's very important to remember, is the use of supplements with your leopard gecko is definitely going to prevent a lot of the difficulties that you can have with your leopard gecko's health. Now remember that the use of supplements with your leopard gecko will greatly reduce the risks of any health issues that you may come across. Like I mentioned before, I use the dish with the calcium carbonate. This is something that is very convenient for any leopard gecko owner because it's not something that you have to dust on each feeding, or, it's not something that's very difficult to provide. It's simple to just throw some dust in the dish, and set it in there, and the gecko will actually eat it himself. This is something I also use. This is made by a manufacturer called T-Rex. They have come out with a line of products that is reptile specific, since each one requires different levels of different vitamins and minerals. I really like these products because they are specific to leopard geckos. Like I had mentioned before, it has the protein, it has fat, it has vitamin A which is very important to health. Now, in very small amounts it's not necessary to do this at every feeding. With adults you only want to supplement their food maybe at every other feeding, and with juveniles you want to do it at every feeding. Juveniles are supplemented daily and obviously the adults at every other feeding, which would probably end up being three to four times a week."
