"As far as diet goes for your leopard gecko they mainly eat insects. There are several different types of geckos, a lot of them will eat fruits but the leopard gecko is mainly a carnivore. He lives on mainly insects and at his size, I'm sorry at her size, she eats little crickets. Now I keep my crickets in a cricket keeper like this and it's very easy for me to just pull one of these tubes out and drop a few in. I'm just going to slide the lid back a little bit, make a small opening and then throw some crickets in, oh well there is only one in there and he doesn't want to come out. There we go. Now these are baby crickets, you don't want to throw too many in because if you let them live in the tank there is a possibility that they will start chewing on the geckos toes and what not. So you just want to make sure you give a few. You want to make sure that your crickets are the right size for your gecko. Especially a hatchling leopard gecko is going to require crickets that are only one to three days old. So you want to make sure that you ask the local pet store to make sure that they give you the crickets that are the appropriate size. Now you can also try using meal worms, a lot of geckos like meal worms quite a bit. You are going to want to use the smallest meal worms you can get for a hatchling especially. Some people even like to use a, put a dish in here with crickets, sorry with meal worms that are dusted with a supplement a vitamin supplement. I don't tend to really use these very much with my leopard gecko, every now and then I would put a dish of calcium carbonate in there and that's also something you can pick up from your, in the reptile supply section at your pet store. It's very simple to just put a little dust in the bottom of a dish such as this one and the leopard gecko will actually eat this. So I'm just going to place this right here. Now you are not going to be able to witness this leopard gecko eating any of this because it's during the day time but at night time now he'll have, she'll have some nice crickets and some calcium. She'll have fresh water which I treat with a product I really like to use with all of my reptiles called Reptisafe. And what this does is it treats the water that comes out of your tap, I can actually use regular tap water as long as I put a few drops of this in it. It removes all the chlorine and all the minerals and all the stuff in the water that's not good for the reptiles. Now also once in a while I do use these gecko bites, that's what they are called, they are called gecko bites and they are for fruit eating geckos. Every now and then you will find a leopard gecko that will eat these but not very often. So you want to make sure that you test them out on your leopard gecko before you go and purchase a big box of them. Now you can also, once your leopard gecko reaches adult size you can start feeding it things like treats once a week or so. And a treat would be something like a pinky which is a baby mouse before it gets it's fur depending on the size of your gecko of course. You may want to get something called a red which is one to two days old. Now you can also try super worms or as they are sometimes called king worms but just keep in mind that these are very high in fat and you only want to feed a couple of these and only to adults."
