" Hi, my name is Sarah, I’m here at Pet Land in Pembroke Pines tonight, and on behalf of expertvillage.com, I’m going to speak with you a little bit about purchasing and owning a pet turtle. Another consideration when you are setting up the turtle’s environment is lighting. Depending on the species of your turtle, it may have different lighting requirements, therefore you should consult your exotic reptile veterinarian as to the best lighting requirements for your turtle. Depending on the species of your turtle and its lighting requirements, you may choose to get one of these hoods that holds several different bulbs. Whatever bulbs you are using if they are full spectrum bulbs, you should be replacing them every six months. This is extremely important, because when you turn the bulb on, it may still turn on and produce light, after about six months the chemicals in the light breakdown, so that they are not producing the healthy full spectrum lighting that your turtle needs. So once again it’s very important to replace your full spectrum bulbs every six months. On behalf of expertvillage.com, I would like to thank you for letting me speak to you about your pet turtle. If you would like more information on the hospital that I work at, you may visit our web site at www.extracareanimalhospital.net.
