Washing Your Horse's Face : Tips for Safely and Thoroughly Washing Your Horse

" Hi my name is Sarah Stetner I'm a expert horse rider on behalf of Expert Village. In this video I'm just showing you how to bath the horse. We have bath this whole side of him. I did the Quick Silver on the whites. I did his conditioner, shampoo his tail, and so this is how you wash his face. You are going to take a sponge. I'm not going to actually do it because of the fact that he is already cold. But, normally this is what I would do. I would take the halter off, take a sponge, wipe his face, get his face all wet, put a little bit of shampoo on the sponge, rinse in a little bit. Shampoo his face all around and then I take his ears and get those as well. You can also use his ears on the side and clean them with alcohol on a rubbing sponge. Like a little rubbing sponge that you apply stuff with and then I put a little bit of that Quick Silver stuff. The stuff that made his whites so white as you can see here with his big white and I put a little bit of the white on his face right here. I would just do that with my fingers and then I would take the sponge get it all wet and rinse out all the soap and make sure that all the soap is out. They do have horse collars which they are called and they come right here, and hook right here with the lead rope. Something that would work with bathing so you don't have to worry about taking off the halter. So that is washing the horses face."
