"Hello my name is Sarah Stetner. I am an expert horse rider on behalf of Expert Village, and in this video I'm just showing you the different types of bits. I now want to go over the severe bits or the most severe bits that I have with me, and comparing them to the non severe bits and how you can tell that. So we have here this curved JP bit compared to this roller bit. Now this roller bit as I said is one of my severe bits that I have, and what you would look for in this severe bit is how long the side of the bit is. If it goes down a lot, it's pretty severe. This goes down a lot, and like I said, this severe bit is one of the most severe bits that I have, as you can tell how long that is. So if you want to look for that, you just look at the side on how severe the bit is and how much the horse's mouth is going to hurt when you pull back on it."
