"This is Sally Martine on behalf of expertvillage.com, in this clip we’re going to teach you how to get your horse to trot. What you want to do is make slack in the reins, give a kiss or snort, make noise with your mouth, talk to your horse, give them some slack and kick with your feet and your horse is going to trot for you. Trot as a medium gait using all four feet up and down, kind of a little bit of a jarring gait but its most efficient for a horse they can go the longest distance at a trot and that’s how you get your horse to trot."
