"Hi! This is Sharon Booth with Goldenrod Performance Horses and we are representing Expert Village and how to exercise your horse. The first exercise is riding your horse. That is what we all enjoy. This is the communication we look for in our horses and that is why most of us have our horses is to ride and enjoy them. So as you go into riding your horse, you want to first make sure that your saddle be a Western/English. Whichever type of saddle you use is properly fit for your horse, you have the proper blankets underneath the saddle, that the saddle is on tight enough so that it doesn't slide off or turn while you are riding. You should first warm up your horse slowly with a walk and then you go into a trot or canter if you wish or just a good pace so that you get a good 45 minute's a day of exercise while riding your horse in a safe area, under good footing. If you are on a trail and you have a good trail horse, that is a good way to exercise and it does take a bit longer than 45 minutes but just make sure that you pace yourself properly. Have a good ride and enjoy."
