"Hello my name is Sarah Stetner. I am an expert horse rider on behalf of Expert Village, and in this video I'm just showing you the types of bits. And I went ahead and showed you the JP curved bit in the last segment; it is a type of snaffle. Now I am on to the Tom Thumb bit. I know all of these bits have weird names, but they are named after trainers. So this is a Tom Thumb bit; as you can see it has a 'D' ring, and this is all adjustable, where it all moves around. This is a very not too severe kind of bit, but I mean it breaks away. You know it does have contact when you pull back on the reins for the horse's tongue. So it is a very lose bit; but it is a very good controlling bit as well. I don't use it, but I mean I don't need to use it because my horse is pretty good. He doesn't need a controlling bit like this. So this is a Tom Thumb bit, one of the many that he has produced."
