"This is Sally Martin on behalf of expertvillage.com, in this clip I’m going to show you how to put a saddle on a horse. You want to pull the stirrup that’s going to be going on the other side of the horse onto the top of the saddle so it doesn’t flap down, grab firmly with both arms cause it’s heavy and swing it over. The saddle goes up near the withers not on the middle of the horse’s back but up towards its shoulders and drop this stirrups down, get your cinch ready…you want to pull the girth up under the horse’s stomach and it’s like buckling a belt but first of all you want to feed it through the top ring and back through the buckle…until you’re sure your saddle has a tight fit and then you put the stick through the cinch, make sure your saddle’s tight and you’re done."
