"Next thing we're going to talk about is the proper cage for your sand boa. Now, sand boas don't get large, they get about two and a half feet if they're a male or three, four at the outside for a female. So something like a fifteen gallon aquarium is going to be just fine. You're not looking for height in this tank, you're looking for something that's going to be at a large floor space. Long id good. But you don't need any, excuse me, anything that's considerably long. You also want to make sure you have a good screen top for your aquarium. Make sure it's something made out of a nice hard metal. You don't want any plastic on that as we are going to be putting heating elements on it. And you also you want to make sure want screen clips. Screen clips are a must for any snake enclosure. What they are is just a metal device it's going to snap on the side of the aquarium to keep the lid down nice and tight. Sand boas don't get huge, but they are a snake, and they are kind of strong, so you want to make sure that the tank is secure and they can't force their way out. Just as much as you want to make sure that no unwanted hands are going to get in there by accident. That makes it a little more difficult for say, a younger sister or brother to get in or a child at your home. SO it protects the snake and it protects you as well. Again, you're looking at a fifteen gallon tank for one sand boa. Now if you do want to get a pair, of course you're going to want to add to add fifteen percent to the size of that. So maybe like a twenty long is what you're looking for. But for one sand boa, fifteen gallon tank will do just fine."
