"Ok, this is a heat pad. Not much to it, is there? It's pretty simple. Basically, what it is, is the heat element inside, and there's a backing-adhesive backing-that you're going to pull off. Just *ssshhhpp.* Ok? It becomes sticky on the one side. And you're going to take that, and you're going to put it underneath the aquarium. Ok? And it will stick right to the bottom. It has to be on the outside of the aquarium, on the bottom. Alright? We're doing that on the opposite side of the heat lamp. Ok? Now, the important thing to note with these, and it's important when talking about any heating device, that we take safety very seriously. Once this is on an aquarium, it's on. If you take it off, it's trash. You cannot reuse it. You cannot pull these off and put them onto a different aquarium or back onto the same one. Why is that? Well, the act of pulling this off the aquarium damages these heating elements inside here. When those are damaged, it becomes a fire hazard. This could possibly malfunction, start a fire, hurt your animal, or burn your house down. We don't want that. So, for the $15, $20 that this costs, if you have to move it, you have to buy a new one. Now, the other important thing to note with the heat pads is that they're going to come with these little rubber feet. There's four of them in the package. There's four of them for a reason, because one goes on every corner of your aquarium. Ok? It's just going to stick to the bottom. Again, it's a self-adhesive tab, so you just stick it right on the bottom of the aquarium. That's going to raise your aquarium off of the surface that it's on. It's very important. Why is it important? If you don't raise the aquarium off the surface that it's on when you're using a heat pad, the heat will become trapped underneath the glass, in between the surface, and you could crack the bottom of your aquarium, or possibly cause your heat pad to overheat and start a fire. Again, we're talking about safety, and it's very important because we are dealing with high wattage items here. So, take that sort of thing seriously, and use your little foot."
