"Alright, the next thing we're going to talk about is diet for your aquatic turtle. Some people feed turtles, just like live fish, feeder fish, things like that. I like to stay away from that myself because they do have a pretty high parasite load, though the occasional one is a treat, isn't horrible. I like to stay more to like pelleted diets, things like that. There's various good, wonderful products out there. I particularly am very fond of the Reptomin. The Tetrafauna Reptomin pellets, I've never had a turtle turn them down. They work very well. They're easy to use. They're just like a brown pellet you just drop in the water. They float, for a while. Eventually they'll sink and you'll have to scoop them out of your tank but they tend to go for those pretty easily. Tetrafauna also makes a little select a food thing that has some of their pellets in it, see this is pellets, they've got some freeze dried baby shrimp, they've got freeze dried crill and then more pellets and that's a nice little canister there because it gives you a little bit of variety. You can give them some pellets one day, some crill the next day, some shrimp the next day and go back to your pellets. Variety of course is the key to any good nutrition and you know you can buy things like the freeze dried crill and shrimp separately. Generally, you will find them in your fish food section more than your reptile section but it work just as well and turtles tend to go for them pretty good. There's also one other variation as far as commercial diets go that I'm particularly fond of and that is the Ectotherm Yummies food. It basically comes in like a, it's like a play-do kind of substance. It comes in these little packets and you cut them open and squeeze out what you want. They come vary, in more than one flavor per package. They're complete diets. They're very very good and turtles really seem to like them. So those would be my recommended diets and the next thing we're going to talk about is a little bit of controversy that goes with the aquatic turtles."
