"Now, the leopard gecko isn't going to get nearly as big as a bearded dragon, but his diet still needs to be nice and varied. He's not going to munch down nearly as many crickets on a daily basis, but of course crickets again are going to be the main staple of the diet. Probably one to two dozen a week or so for him, as a full-grown adult, and you want to mix that in of course with a healthy dose of waxworms as treats. Again, they're really high in fat, so you want to use those sparingly, and mealworms are also a really great way to keep him filled up. He's never going to get big enough for superworms or giant mealworms, so stay away from those, and there's no need for salads. So his dietary needs aren't nearly as involved as the bearded dragon, and won't end up costing you nearly as much in the long run. And it's important to keep that into account when you're picking him out, as opposed to a bearded dragon. If you can't afford to spend that much on a weekly basis, maybe he's the right way to go for you. A little bit less involved, a little bit less work, and a little bit less money."
