"The other thing that we kind of want to take into account when looking at the right beginner lizard for you, is the attractiveness of it. If it looks cute to you, or attractive. Now, if you're looking as far as colors and patterns go, leopard geckos are probably by far much higher rated than the other two that we've been talking about. As you can see, they have very bright contrasting colors, and bandings, and patterns. And of course, they come in various different color morphs as well, so there's lots of different colors and quote unquote flavors to choose from. They're kind of like little miniature paintings almost. So if color and pattern is what you like, he may be the decision for you. Now if you're a little bit more interested in a little bit more understated patterning or coloring, the crested gecko might be more along your line. They have the cute little crest on top, and the eyelashes that are rather adorable. But the color tends to be a little bit more drab, but they do come in bright colors as well--know that you're going to spend the money on them. They're not necessarily going to be on average nearly as bright or colorful as the leopard gecko is. And lastly, the bearded dragon--which, as you can see has a little bit of patterning on them, and the colors are going to be a lot more understated on a bearded dragon, a lot more subtle. While there are colors out there that are rather striking, you're definitely going to spend a lot of money on something like that. Your average bearded dragon is going to be a little bit more drab than the other two, and not necessarily as colorful or as attractive, but by no means a lesser pet."
