"Hi, I'm Kelli on behalf of Expert Village I'm going to show you my tips and techniques to properly bridle your horse with a English bridle. So now that we have our bit in the horses mouth and we have the bridle pulled up over the ears. We have adjusted our nose band and fit it properly so now we are going to tighten our throat latch which is the last strap we need to tighten to make sure that our bridle stays on properly. So we are going to pull it through the little buckle here. I'm going to buckle it up. You want to make sure that you can fit 3 fingers held this way underneath your horse throat. Make sure it is not too tight; you don't want to choke your horse. So this looks like it is about the right length for her. So once we have it adjusted it to the right length, we are going to pull the buckles through the little keepers here so we can ensure that it stays on properly. Slide this on up. So that is how you want to buckle your throat latch and ensure that your bridle is going to be buckled properly and adjusted the most comfortable way for your horse."
