"Hi, I'm Kelli on behalf of Expert Village. I'm going to show you some techniques that I use to properly care for my horse's feet. So there's many different treatments that you can use for your horse's feet. As you can see, in the prior clip, we did apply Durasol which is an anti-bacterial, anti-fungal treatment and that helps just keep the foot nice and clean. Keeps it free of any bacteria. Keeps the sole nice and thick, so it keeps abscesses from forming. Now, if your horse is afflicted with something called thrush, which is a really thick, black, smelly fungus that affects usually the frog area of the foot. There's a lot of different products, Coppertox is really great ingredient that you can use to help treat that product. Again, if your horse has really dry or brittle feet, you can get a hoof conditioner to put all over there. That will keep the hoof really nice and supple, keep it from breaking up. Or, if you are trying to draw an abscess out, you might end up either having to soak the foot in some Epsom salt and iodine or you can use a product called Ickthamol, which is actually packed into the horse's feet as a drawing agent to help to draw out any bacteria or any infection. So, those are just a few different types of treatment that you can use for your horse's feet."
