How to Use a Hard Brush on Horses

"Hi! This is Mara Keith-Hunter for Expert Village. Today we will be talking about how to groom a horse. Once you have finished currying, the next step is going to be use the hard brush. It's just like with the curry comb it is important to start up on the neck so that as you brush the dirt it falls off to the part that you haven't brushed yet. It is most useful to use a hard flicking motion so that the dirt flicks off of the horse and with a hard brush, you also want to focus on the meaty areas. But if you have a lot of mud down the legs, you can also get it off depending on how sensitive your horse is. I am just going to work my way back. You can see already most of the dirt is coming off. We've already gone up with the curry comb. Then we will go over and make sure that we got it all."
