Hi! My name is Marc. This clip is about setting up a 18 gallon Eclipse freshwater aquarium. The Eclipse is one of the simplest aquariums to set up, the lighting, the top, and the filtration is contained in the Eclipse top for the aquarium again self-contained. All you do is take that out of the box, connect one tube to the filter pump, put gravel in the bottom of the tank, decorate the tank, fill the tank with water, be sure to dechlorinate the water, put a heater in the tank, plug it in and you are ready to go; all you have to do is add fish at that point. And that is all there is to it. There are many different types of gravel to choose from. It is mostly your choice of color that you are worried about it, it is all the same, natural gravel, blue gravel, black gravel it makes no difference, it is up to your aesthetic value so to speak and the type of picture you are trying to create. Tanks like this require about 20 pounds of gravel, a rough rule is one pound per gallon, again this being an 18 gallon tank, 20 pounds would be perfect to get you started.
