Communicating with the body is as old as man himself. We all do it, yet most of us don't even realize we are doing it. Body language speaks volumes. In fact, only 7% of communication is verbal and 93% is non-verbal. Make sure the message you are sending out is being interpreted the way you want it to be and make sure you interpret the message that is coming in properly. Babies are able to decipher body language even before they can understand the content of words. For every thought you have, there is a physiological reaction in your body. There are a number of different uses of non-verbal communication. Here are a few. Positioning your body relative to other people and things. Positioning arms and legs relative to other people. Crossing the arms and legs. Exposing the palms of your hand. Stroking one's thighs or wrists. Movement of limbs, head and fingers. Micromovement of muscles."
