"Ok, the next type of speech that we want to talk about, the next style of eulogy is called a legacy. In this type of speech, if you choose this and present this it's a great choice. But it would tend to follow more of a speech format like introduction, body, conclusion. And there are some specific things that you must have in a legacy speech. The primary thing is going to be talking about the projects the person is leaving behind. Now I'm using the term projects. It could be work related, it could be things that he is doing personally, or it could be family. Family members, children, parents, so forth and so on. But what are they leaving behind? You're going to start with that and put a special emphasis on that. Then, through main points, just like in writing a speech, you're going to hit the major points in this person's life. Not so much crowning achievements or accomplishments, but what were the major milestones? Getting over a debilitating disease, graduating from college, getting a giant promotion, owning their own business, whatever it is the major points in their life. This is where you can highlight your thoughts about the person by recognizing through these major points. I was so excited when she decided to open her own business, ok. You're hitting an achievement, and you're giving your personal thought about it. The last thing that you want to do in a legacy speech is a summary. Don't do it in a technical speech format, like so as you can see today, but wrap up briefly this person's legacy. What they're leaving behind, what their life was like."
