Wedding Toasts: Bride & Groom Positive Qualities

"Okay, what we're going to do now since we have mentioned the beautiful ceremony is we're going to talk about the bride and groom. Of course, it's their wedding. All right, the first thing you want to do is articulate positive qualities about the bride and positive qualities about the groom. You want to talk about them separately and then you want to talk about them together. And what I'm saying, how you might want to do this is you might want to mention, well Sally is just absolutely the most giving person I have ever met in my life, and she is going to make a wonderful wife because she is so considerate of others feelings and is so giving, she'd just give you the shirt right off her back. So forth and so on. Then you want to mention the groom, and Ted you are looking great tonight. What a handsome, handsome man you are, and so funny. I tell you what, I can't be around Ted without just laughing hysterically. He is absolutely the funniest guy that I have ever met, or whatever positive quality you want to talk about. And then you want to talk about them as a unit. They are going to have a wonderful life together because I remember when they met, you know, instantly sparks flew, or I remember when they met, Sally dropped her purse and Ted picked it all up, and that was just so unusual for his character to do something like that. Or whatever the little story is. Think of it kind of like a walk down memory lane. Now not a really, really, really long walk, but you can choose specific events about them separately and then talk about their union together. How they met, the first kiss, the first date, whatever it is. If you're the maid of honor, obviously I would know about her side of the story. He would know about the groom's side of the story."
