"OK, the first thing you need to know about a wedding toast is that you need to write it down. You need to be prepared. I strongly, strongly recommend for you not to do this speech impromptu. And what impromptu means is, you're just going to say whatever comes to you in the moment. That's not really a good idea because there are some very specific things that you want to talk about in this wedding speech and remember, you want it to be really memorable. So, be prepared, write it down. And you can even use a card if you want. A wedding speech is structured not too different than a public speaking speech, like an informative speech. It has a beginning, a middle and an end. Primarily, the first thing that we're going to talk about and look at are your thoughts about the couple. What do you have to say about them? And what are other's thoughts about the couple? What do other people say about them? And you also want to take a look at any special interests or passions that the couple shares together. And what is unique about their union? What is, what is special about them coming together? Those are the first things we want to take a look at."
