"This is Vicki Walker for Expert Village. We are just about finished with the garment bag. I like to put something at the bottom just to keep the bottom from flapping if the garment bag is full of garments probably be taking somewhere for travel. I like to keep it close at the bottom so I'm just going to sew on a couple of ribbons at the bottom and they can be tied in a bow. They would add to the decoration as well as serving a functional purpose. I'm going to cut let's say 11 inches for each ribbon. I need 4 of them. Then pin them to the bottom of the bag like this. I would turn the edge under so it does not unraveled and on the bottom side do the same thing. The same thing on this side. I'm going to space it accordingly. One more. I would take it to the sewing machine and sew down those edges and that is the last step in our project. Right along where the same line was for the hem should be just about right. Then I would do the same thing with the other ribbons that I have pinned on. That is how we put the ribbon to the bottom of the garment bag."
