"This is Vicki Walker for Expert Village. We are just about finish with our garment bag. I have sewn the side seams to take in all the raw edges to make sure we did not have any raveling showing. The hanger would come through the top here, we would show that in the next clip. But the next thing we need to do is take care of the bottom edges. The bottom has not yet been hemmed so we would take care of that now. By turning over just a small amount from the bottom. Turning up about a 1/4 of inch and then rolling up another 1/4 of a inch and making a shirt tail hem. I would start at the seam and sew just along the edge. We could have put a contrasting piece of fabric along the bottom. We could of closed this with a zipper, it could be closed with Velcro. But with Velcro my concern is stagging some of the garments that would be going inside the garment bag. So I prefer to just close it with just a ribboned tied at the bottom as much with decoration with anything else. I would continue hemming the bottom edges and then we would sew on the the trim. That would be our last step in our garment bag."
