Supplies Needed for Garment Bags

"This is Vicki Walker for Expert Village. In this clip I would be discussing the types of supplies that would be needed to make a garment bag. Probably the most important thing to think of is a hanger. You want to make sure that the fabric would be wide enough once the garment is made. That hangers would be able to fit inside of it so I have a hanger to use as a guide. Your fabric of course also important and any contrasting fabric that you might want to use as trim or to do monogram letters so anything like that that would coordinate with your fabric. I have 2 that I plan to use at least 2 that I would use in this project. Also you would need to have any other trim that you like to decorate your project with like ribbon of all different colors. I also have pins, a pen that I would draw monogram letters. The letter that I would be using today is D for the young lady that I'm making this garment bag for. So you would need that to trace around. Also scissors if I have not mention those, sewing machine, matching thread and a tape measure. We would need a tape measure before this project is over. Those are the main things that you need to think about and any other trim that you might want to use like ricrac or possibly even a zipper if you decided to add a zipper in. It can be a little fancier garment bag then we are making on this one. We would be making this one with ribbon at the bottom when we finish with it. Those are the main supplies that you need to make this garment bag. "
