"This is Vicki Walker on behalf of Expert Village. We are making a baby doll sleeping bag today and we have attached the top piece of the fabric to the white quilted design. Now we have attached the lining fabric the polka dotted fabric to the other two pieces and I'm going to base some of the edge. Sewing about a half of a inch from the edge that attaches to the other 2 pieces. We could have got ahead and cut all three pieces together and sewn them together at the same time. I think we can get a smoother seam this way. I sewed all the way around the outside of the edge and the next step would be what kind of trim that we would be using for the sleeping bag. The fabric that I'm using are not that thick, they are just light weight cotton, easy to wash fabric. If you were to use heavier fabric like a light weight canvas for your sleeping bag, you might have a little bit more trouble with the seams when they get all bunched up. It would not line up on top of each other. It might be a little bit too heavy. So the lighter weight fabric is, a better idea but this I would continue to sew all the way around and then I would be finish with sewing the 3 piece together. Then we would move on to the next step."
