"Hi, this is Stephanie. I'm going to talk about how and where to get your ideas. Ideas for scrapbooks are everywhere. One good thing you can do - there are very many scrapbooking magazines out there. You can buy some and see other layouts; they give you ideas on how to use your tools or how to use your supplies. You can do a quick Google search on scrapbooking - there are tons and tons of scrapbooking message boards - galleries where you can look at other people's work. Look at someone else's work and copy it. It's still going to be totally different. They call that "scraplifting" and it's OK. Just look at what somebody else has done - your photos alone are going to make it different. Change the color but look at the designs. You can go to a magazine and look at advertisements. That's a graphic design that's already set up for you. Look at how they place their ads, how they place their words and just use it for your own page. It's a great way to have a nice lined up page. You can have a little note book and jot down ideas, you can hear a funny joke or story, you like the title, write it down. Your kids say something funny - keep a little journal book and write those things down so you remember it when you go to do your page. You're not necessarily going to take your pictures and do your page the next day. You'll come across it later and you might have forgotten. You can also write ideas like that on the back of your photos. Say that you know that there is something that you bought that's going to be perfect to use with those photos but you don't know when you're going to get around to it, write it on the back of your photos so that when you go to do that page you say "Oh, yes, I wanted to use those bananas pictures for this page." You'll figure it out and it's a great way to keep all your ideas together. A little journal book is a great way to do that. You can also sketch ideas. I'm at the grocery store and I suddenly think about how a page will look. Scrap it - draw a little sketch of it and it'll come together. Just collect your ideas and you'll be on your way to making a great, great scrapbook. "

THANK YOU! I have been playing around with the idea of scrapbooking. I have not taken the plunge because until I saw your video series.....I didn't know where and how to begin! You answered the questions I had at my craft store-what adhesives to use and how to use them (like not plastering your items with adhesive), what to do with those busy looking papers, and how to use embellishments and stickers. I appreciate you making this series of videos, Stephanie! THANKS AGAIN!
